Pope Leo XIV's first visit after his election was to the small town of Genazzano, 60 km from Rome, which contains a precious treasure: the fresco of Our Lady of Good Counsel, miraculously transported to that location.

This visit surprised many and marked the beginning of his pontificate. It was especially gratifying to the Heralds of the Gospel, who have a close relationship with Our Lady of Good Counsel, inspired by our founder, Monsignor João Clá, and his spiritual mentor, Dr. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, who always had a deep veneration for this fresco.

This e-book provides an overview of the impressive history of the fresco, which, having left Albania, “flew” to Genazzano without human assistance, coming to rest suspended in the air upon reaching its destination, where today there is a sanctuary maintained by the Augustinians.
