Among Catholics, we find those who pray the entire Rosary—or at least one Rosary—every day, those who pray it occasionally or only on special occasions, and those who do not pray it at all, justifying themselves by saying that it is a repetitive prayer.
Many Popes, theologians, and, above all, Saints have prayed the Rosary. This should be enough to assure us that it is something much greater and more important than merely a repetitive and meaningless practice.
Continuing the collection Meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary, with meditations by our founder, Monsignor João Clá Dias, on the practice of the Five First Saturdays Devotion, we publish in this volume the Luminous Mysteries, which contemplate the Baptism and the beginning of Jesus' public life, culminating in the institution of the Holy Eucharist.
