In 1983, Dr. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, mentor of Monsignor João Clá, founder of the Heralds of the Gospel, received a request from his spiritual children. Answering this request and following the devotion promoted by St. Alphonsus, Dr. Plinio agreed to compose, for each hour, a brief intention in the form of an ejaculatory prayer addressed to Our Lady, related to each specific step of the Passion.
