Optional memorial of Saint Stephen of Hungary, king (†1038 Székesfehérvár – Hungary). Husband of Blessed Gisela and father of Saint Emeric. He worked to evangelize his kingdom. He governed with justice and peace, always seeking unity. He founded numerous monasteries, which soon became great missionary centers.
