Solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. At Christmas, the Messiah descended to earth beneath the veils of humility. At the end of time, he will come in all splendor and glory as supreme Judge. Between these two comings, according to Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, there is a “third coming” of Jesus that occurs at every moment of our lives.
