Blessed Notker the Stammerer, monk (†912). He spent almost his entire life in the monastery of Saint Gall in Swabia, present-day Switzerland, where he composed numerous liturgical poems; weak in body but not in mind, stammering in speech but not in intelligence, assiduous in prayer, reading, and meditation.
