Memorial of Saint Lawrence of Brindisi, priest and Doctor of the Church (†1619). A Capuchin religious and tireless preacher against the errors of Turks and Protestants, he also carried out difficult diplomatic duties. He was proclaimed “Doctor Apostolicus” by Pope John XXIII.
