Saint Gulstan, monk (†1040). In his youth, he was captured by pirates who, after years of slavery, abandoned him on the island of Ouessant, France. Welcomed by Saint Felix, he entered the monastery of Saint Gildas where, despite being illiterate, he fervently sang the Psalter from memory.
