Saint Chromatius of Aquileia, bishop (†407). Turning his father's house into a monastery, he led an ascetic life there. When Valerian, archbishop of Aquileia, died, the faithful acclaimed him as successor. He benefited the Church through his preaching, clarifying the disagreements of his time in an uncommon way.
