Saint Bartholomew, Apostle. Also called Nathanael, he earned this praise from the Divine Master when Philip introduced him: “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit” (Jn 1:47). One of Jesus's first disciples, he exercised his ministry in Asia Minor and Mesopotamia.
