The land of Sri Lanka has recently witnessed a true breath of spiritual renewal. From October 2 to 4, 2026, the Catholic community of St. Sebastian’s Church, located in Diyalagoda, Kalutara, welcomed with immense devotion the solemn visit of the pilgrim image of Our Lady.
From the very first moments, the church was filled with an atmosphere of deep contemplation, where the faithful were able to lay their supplications, anxieties, and hopes at the feet of the Mother of God, reaffirming their commitment to the Catholic faith amid the challenges of the modern world.
The special program brought together entire families, young people, and children, who took turns in acts of praise, reciting the Holy Rosary, and singing Marian hymns.
The presence of the statue reminded everyone that the Virgin Mary walks tirelessly alongside her children, pouring out abundant graces and drawing hearts closer to the Sacred Heart of her Divine Son, in an atmosphere of piety that left a deep impression on the parish.
