There has never been, nor will there ever be a single monarch endowed with the capacity to govern the interior lives of men, in addition to directing them in the harmony of their social relations, their undertakings, and so forth.

The only King with the plenitude of all powers is Christ Jesus.

Jesus, the infallible Teacher of theological and moral truth, perpetuates the immortal doctrinal treasure of the Faith until the end of time, by means of the Gospel and principally by establishing the Holy Church.

Through this great institution He guides, helps, and sanctifies all who enter it, and goes in search of the stray sheep. Here precisely we encounter the most important part of His rule over this world: the supernatural Kingdom which is realized, in its essence, through grace and sanctity.

It is through grace that our soul is transformed into both a true throne and a sceptre of Our Lord Jesus Christ. And it is in this peace and harmony that our authentic happiness is found, and this is the Kingdom of Christ within us.
