On September 18, the Church of Our Lady of Fatima—the seat of the Heralds of the Gospel in Tocancipá, Colombia—became the setting for one of the most memorable artistic and spiritual events of 2026: the solemn presentation of the concert titled “A Journey from Prayer to Hope.”

The event brought together in the sacred space the two leading institutions of the country’s classical music culture: the prestigious National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia and the National Choir of Colombia. The initiative featured an impressive ensemble of 160 performers, including instrumentalists and choral singers.

The celebration of sacred art took on a particularly solemn liturgical tone during the final performances, when the 34 voices of the Schola Cantorum of Our Lady of Fátima joined the monumental ensemble.

The highlight of the evening culminated in a masterful rendition of Georg Friedrich Handel’s “Hallelujah,” resounding beneath the church’s vaults as a true hymn of praise, hope, and thanksgiving.

The harmonious union between the technical virtuosity of the national symphonic ensembles and the musical piety of the Heralds offered the audience a profound experience of beauty as a reflection of the sacred and a vehicle for prayer.
