On September 5, approximately 1,300 faithful participated in the First Saturday of the Month Reparatory Communion, held at the Our Lady of the Reconquest seat in Guatemala.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Bishop Francisco Montecillo Padilla, Apostolic Nuncio to Guatemala, before the image of Our Lady of Fatima.

The celebration brought together children, youth, adults, and families in a profound expression of devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

A Devotion Linked to the Message of Fatima

The Reparatory Communion of the First Saturdays is connected to the message of Our Lady of Fatima and, in particular, to the request conveyed through Sister Lucia, one of the three child visionaries of the 1917 apparitions.

This devotion invites the faithful to go to confession, receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary, and meditate on the mysteries of the Rosary, with a spirit of reparation.

Thus, the celebration held in Guatemala was part of a tradition of Marian spirituality that spans generations and remains alive among the faithful.

A Large Gathering at the Feet of Our Lady

Images from the celebration show a large congregation gathered around the altar and the image of Our Lady of Fatima.

The presence of the Apostolic Nuncio lent special significance to the occasion. In an atmosphere marked by prayer and Marian devotion, approximately 1,300 people participated in Holy Mass and in the act of reparation proposed by the spirituality of the First Saturdays.

The gathering thus recalled one of the central calls of the message of Fatima: the conversion of hearts, prayer, and reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
