The prophet Isaiah is a fighter and, at the same time, he is a contemplative of the fight.

In this contemplation, he sees the enemies of God advancing on all sides and feels what Our Lord Jesus Christ was to declare: “The Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head” (Mt 8:20).

And he thinks: “Everyone has a point of favour; I have none. Everything is evil, pain, opposition. However, God is greater than all attacks.” The certainty of divine victory remains present.

He is on the verge of bursting into a denouncement but without self-pity. This is the worldview of the prophet Isaiah.
