Similar to what the Gospels narrate concerning Jesus, the child Mary grew and became strong as the months went by, full of grace and wisdom in the sight of God and man. Her kindness, her delicacy, her extraordinary dedication to others and, above all, her spirit of slavery shone before the eyes of her saintly mother, who was filled with admiration at the wonders wrought by the Lord in this divine child. Together with the Angels who, rapt in awe, did not cease for a moment to contemplate Her, St. Anne thought: “Who is this?” Oh! She is the One that only the Almighty could imagine! She is the little child who governs the immense Heart of God!
